The kind of woman…

Woman

It’s not easy being the kind of woman that always does good. But we can do it if we choose to be one. We can be a role model for the other women around us. We can always set a good example. I am saying this because I am the eldest in the family and I have three younger sisters and a number of female cousins and younger relatives. I am not saying I am a good role model to them but I do try to do good and show them what a woman should be.

No to being lost!

My friends and I are planning to go on a trip this coming summer vacation. We always go on trips whenever we are free and have the budget to do so. It is a bonding activity for us to strengthen our decades long friendship. On our last trip we got lost in a maze of streets and we promised ourselves that this coming trip we will say NO to being lost! We wasted a day circling the same streets so we are getting a GPS this time around. Good thing that there’s a gps clearance as we are sticking to a budget.

Four ladies going on another trip… that’s us! I’m excited and I can’t wait for the day to arrive. It’s always best to travel with your closest friends because you are all adjusted with each other and know the quirks each one has.

Some down time

We all work so hard to make our lives better. And as a reward to ourselves, I suggest a down time at least once a week, possibly on weekends. Invite friends over for some drinks and silly conversations. Chill out by the pool with your special someone. Or some games at home with the family members. The last one is the one I like the most since I love spending time with the family. That’s also the reason why I bought a ps3 hard drive so that we can have more games ready for us to play.

Some down time is really needed by working adults so that burn out is far from happening. And so that we can recharge our minds and bodies for another grueling week ahead.

A new year has arrived! ;-)

2012

Happy New Year to all the ladies everywhere!!!

It’s a bit late for me to greet you this but, hey, I was busy with the new year prep and I forgot to put up a post hehe… Anyway, I prayed that we all have a great year ahead. I do hope we all find the fulfillment we are searching for not only in our careers but also in our personal lives.

Here’s to a great 2012 for all of us women!

Women are amazing!

Woman

Women are amazing. They can put a smile on their face, act like everything is fine, when really the world is on their shoulders and their life is slipping through the cracks of their fingers…

Celebrate the women in your life. Give them a hug. Say thanks for all the little things they do for you. Tell them “I Love You”.

Happy Sunday!

Indulging the old man

It’s the holiday season. I think there’s nothing wrong with indulging a bit with what we all wanted to have for the past couple of months, right? So indulge is what we are all doing now! The old man with his padron cigar. Me with chocolates. The rest of the family with one thing or another that they want.

Another old man I want to have something to indulge in is sick at the moment. Too bad because I do know that my old man will be happy to know that he is also enjoying in his fave cigar. I do wish him speedy recovery from the stroke he had.

Setting aside career for family

I spoke to Trina the other day. She was an old schoolmate. I’ve known her for a long time before she went abroad to start a life there with her family. I learned from our conversation that she is a homemaker nowadays, taking care of her husband and her two sons. She was online to check the alloc original she will order for the bedroom remodeling she’s doing.

She misses going to work. But being a wife and mother, her priority is her family now. Her career as a nurse was set aside to make room for being the homemaker. She wants to see her sons grown up before she will go back to the medical world. But that will take a long time because her sons are still very young.

Working hard for the wedding

Pete is working hard for the money he will need to marry his long-time girlfriend. They got engaged last year and he is still short of the funds they would need to get married. It will be a lavish wedding, a fairy tale wedding in fact. That’s what Pete wants to give his bride. So now he is searching for Food Preparation Worker – Manager Jobs. On top of the one that he has now, he will also work a second job to save up.

Some people are saying it’s impractical to spend so much on a wedding. But if the person has the money to spend, why not? It’s a person’s prerogative.
