Miranda is an old woman who dedicated her life sending kids from poor families to school. She opted to remain single because she wants to give the resources she has to the kids who needed/need it. Some of the kids that she sent to school are now professionals and one of them is Allison who is working as an auditor in a well-known auditing firm in the country.

Allison wanted to send flowers online to Miranda. She went to visit her once and she saw how old she is now. She was reminded of her generosity once again so now she is organizing a get-together with the others who also benefited from Miranda’s selflessness.

When it comes to interior and exterior decorating, Dani is one of the best. She has a lot of clients going back to her for more of her decorating genius. In fact, Dani does not advertise. Her clients are the one doing the advertising for her through word of mouth.

Just recently she had a new client referred to her by another regular client of hers. She was asked for help regarding the setup of their newly bought modern outdoor seating. The client wanted the side of her house converted into a place where her guests can hang out. And she was able to do it once again, make her client happy.

She really has a creative mind!

Jenna is one practical woman. She already has everything in place for when something happens to her. She has her life insurance plan ready. She has three life insurance plans actually. She is also done with her funeral planning. And she already has a vault at a columbarium in the city. She is all set and ready to face death should it come knocking at her door.

Don’t get her wrong. Jenna loves life! She is in her early 40′s. She is fit and healthy. But she is practical as well and she doesn’t want to leave her future to chance.

I don’t know why some people pretend to be someone when they know in their hearts who they really are. They actually don’t have the means to live the kind of lifestyle they have but they persist on living the way they do. It’s mind boggling how they can keep up! I believe that it’s one exhausting way to live one’s life, don’t you think?

Why not just live your own life? Why not live the way you should and save yourself the effort of being someone you are not?

It will also save the people around you from wondering why the hell you are living beyond your means when most of the time you are lamenting the fact that you don’t have enough.

Right?!?

You can find Nero attached to his yamaha piccolo almost all the time. I say almost because he doesn’t bring it inside the bathroom. If he can only do so without damaging it, he will. He sleeps beside it, you know.

Nero has this attitude that when he gets fixated over something, he won’t stop until he gets it. That’s how he has always been and will always be. So when he asked his parents for that yamaha piccolo and they told him to study harder so they would get him one, he did.

The guys have been talking nonstop about fantasy football. Over Facebook, Twitter, and even on the phone. They are planning to hold a fantasy football tournament where they will invite their friends over. They will hand out fantasy football trophies to the best players, of course. And there will be lots of beer and finger foods!

I think guys and football will always be connected somehow. It’s the law of nature, I guess. No wonder almost every man I know likes football. A lot! Or if it’s not football, then another entirely popular sports.

Marisa can’t work when there are distracting noises around her. Since her next-door neighbor is having their roof replaced, she can’t work properly for the past day and a half. Out of pity, her brother presented her a solution. Use molded ear buds and listen to soothing music.

It actually worked for her! She can now work better because she can block out the sounds that distract her. The soothing music stimulates her mind and she welcomes that kind of sound.

She is already planning on keeping the molded ear buds even when the neighbors are done with their repairs.

She still needs to read about the Regulation E that her boss is asking her about. She is the go-to person in the office and when there’s an issue that needs to be resolved right away, she is the one called by the boss to take care of it. She used to be the boss’s assistant. Seeing the potential in her, she was trained in different areas of the business and was promoted after a couple of months.

She’s now holding the position of office manager. The go-to person. The overall in-charge of the office. And she’s grateful for the opportunity given by her boss.

I am thankful for the girl friends I have!

I think they already know who they are. They have kept me going through all these years. Their support is very important to me.

I’ve also been there for them when they needed me and I think all those times that we helped each other up bonded us for life.

Instead of the usual gifts, I will pay for my dad’s leather chair repair as a gift for him this coming Father’s Day. He has this really dilapidated chair that he can’t stop using as it’s very comfortable for him. Plus, it’s an old habit to sit on it when he’s deep in thought. Since he doesn’t want to get rid of it, I might as well pay for its repair.

I am sure he will find it amusing that I will be salvaging the very chair that I want thrown away as I am afraid it’s already attracting termites or something in it. Well, anything for my father!
