This big girl will definitely be sleeping in this weekend. I will indulge! I will catch up on sleep and eat pancakes for lunch…
And then I will read and read… and sleep some more!

I wonder if engagement rings went flying out of stores weeks before the 14th. I wonder if proposals were made on that day. Whatever happened last 14th? Would you like to share your romantic story, if there’s one?
As for this lady, I spent it with the family. Boo! I know it sounds boring to you but the truth is I enjoyed the day. It’s no big deal anymore that I was dateless last Valentine’s Day. So what? There are far more problems in my life that need my focus than being dateless. I’m not being defensive, I just want to say that I was happy last 14th even without someone to swap spits with hahaha!
So what happened last 14th with you?
Lani got married and then got pregnant right after when she’s in college. She graduated and chose to become a stay-at-home mom so she could take care of her kid and the family. She and her husband talked about it and agreed that it’s the best setup for them.
But now that Lani’s son, and daughter who came two years after, are 10 and 8, respectively, she thought about working. Her husband started a business two years ago and since Lani once worked as a store attendant when she was in her teens, she told her husband she can man the check out counter instead of hiring someone in replacement of the person occupying the said position now. She knows how to operate a POS machine with a star micronics printer. It’s stock knowledge and one that she won’t forget anytime soon. Since the business location is just a couple of houses away from their own residence, and her husband knows how bored she is at home when the kids are in school, he acquiesced and Lani will soon start work.
It will occupy her days, but her main priority is still her family.
Kids these days… you wouldn’t believe how fashionable they are! Can you tell from the two fashionable little girls in the photo? How cute can they be!
If I remember it right, I started becoming conscious with what I was wearing back in senior year in college already. I was that late when it comes to fashion! Hahaha! But I do believe the lack of resources and my focus on my studies were the reasons why I was such.
But kids these days…
I think every woman wants to have someone to keep her warm when it’s cold. Someone who will warm her heart like what a heated blanket can do. Someone who will be there ready to warm her cold nights with love and romance.
You might admit this or not but I believe it’s true. Every woman (that includes me!) just wants to be loved for herself. She wants to be cherished. She wants her partner to be proud of her and smile at her like she’s the only woman in the world!
Ah, love…

I didn’t know that I would enjoy going around the hardware store looking for those industrial supplies that I was there to buy for someone. I think I spent at least three hours in the store and I wanted more time to explore it!
Every single nook and cranny of the store was very interesting to me. I love the displays and showcases. I love that everything in it can be used at home. While I was in there, I was already making notes and planning on getting some stuff for home when I will have some rooms renovated this summer.
I can’t wait to go back and shop again!
My brother and I went to a pet center last weekend. We went there to get our pet shih tzu groomed and in the process I saw a chihuahua puppy and bought it for myself. We were there for hours and we really explored the area. There were so many pet stalls there and each stall had at least two attendants manning it.
In one of those pet stalls we met a woman who came all the way from a far away province to work here in the city. She is proud of her work, no matter that all she does is attend to those who would like to buy puppies and pet supplies. She told us that it may not seem like it but she knows how to operate a computer system. She was trained to handle a POS system and knows how to navigate a elo touch monitor. I was impressed! She told us that it’s just one step towards her goal of becoming a businesswoman herself. And seeing her determination, I know she can be one and soon.
A woman has strengths that amaze men
She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens
She holds happiness, love and opinions
She smiles when she feels like screaming
She’s happy and laughs when she is afraid
Her love is unconditional

She sometimes forgets what she is worth.
I am guilty of this. I sometimes forget that I am worth more than I see myself as. I need to be reminded.
And I am also reminding YOU that you need to value yourself more than what you actually think of. You are precious!
I may appear to be strong and running on 100% fully charged batteries all the time but truth is I also get tired and worn out. This woman is in need of some ME time! And I am hoping to sleep in tomorrow and on Sunday.
Rest is what I will be doing all weekend long!

Three women of different ages. All of them are expecting a proposal from their long-time boyfriends this coming 14th of February. Valentine’s Day. A day for lovers all over the country. A day when most people feel the urge to declare their love for their special someone. A day when men who are love sick feel like buying designer engagement rings and proposing to their women. A day of red roses and wine and candle-lit dinners.
So the three women’s men will put a ring on their fingers in a matter of days. They are both nervous and excited about it! They are pretending they don’t know yet but reliable sources already confirmed it. A proposal will happen and the sure answer will be a big YES!
All the kids are excited to see Mickey Mouse and the rest of the Disney gang in person. The whole family plus some uncles, aunts, and a number of cousins are going to Disney World! Everyone is searching for things to do aside from going to Disney World and an orlando hotel they can stay at.
To say that the house is in chaos because of the preparation for the Orlando trip is an understatement. Everyone is doing their own packing and list-checking. Every single person going to join the trip can’t sleep properly anymore because they can’t wait for the day to arrive.
I was once told by an older love one to hurry up because my biological clock is ticking and I have to get on board the speeding bus of marriage. I was in my late 20′s then. Now that I am already in my mid-30′s, there’s more pressure for me to hurry up, get married, and have a baby.
Truth is I am still holding out for true love to find me. I have held out this long why settle for someone less than what I deserve, right? If I don’t find that one guy for me, then so be it! Anyway, I am happy being alone and I am never really lonely.

Her family didn’t have enough while she was growing up. The toys she wanted when she was a little kid, those toys she saw kids her age played with, her parents couldn’t afford to buy for her. You can say that she was one frustrated kid.
Now that she is older and has the money to buy stuff she likes, she goes back to the toy store to check stuff for her nephews and nieces and godchildren and when she sees one that catches her fancy, she buys it for herself. Not to play with it but just to put it in display in her house. The most recent toy she got interested in: the Orbeez Magic Maker!
The toys remind her of what she used to be and how far she has come along in life.
While everyone kept buying motorbikes, cars and whatever vehicle with machines, she is content with her bike. An old bike with a basket in front. The old kind.
She likes riding on it and just feel the wind on her face. She likes hearing her thoughts while she’s aboard her old bike. She just loves it and even brings it to work whenever she can.
She is an old soul and it comes out in her choices and her ways.
Rocky is proud to have such a thoughtful girlfriend. He keeps telling his family and friends how Patty would give him little gifts without any occasion at all. The last gift she gave her just because was a pair of cuff links he can use for work. He is in fact using the cufflinks already! He even told his boss about it.
He is ready to propose to her. He is just looking for the right time and the right place to do it. He feels that Patty is ready, too, as they keep talking about marriage and kids a lot lately. He can’t wait to start their own family! He is really ready to tie the knot!
She has her Bell Star Helmet with her and her 1-year-old motorbike. She is ready to ride out to the countryside on her own, off to her place and be there by her lonesome. She is ready for some peace and quiet after being surrounded by nothing but chaos the past several weeks.
One thing she realized amidst the chaos she called her life the past several weeks is that she is still a country girl through and through. She likes the city life but the chaos that comes with it she doesn’t like much. Might as well ride to the countryside now and stay there for a while.
She really needs the quiet.
Maria has been a journalist all her life. When she retired by the age of 70, she realized that gardening has always been her first love. She went back to gardening with gusto and it occupied her days and nights. Can you imagine her place being a one-bedroom shack but her garden is so wide it is almost as wide as what a mansion could occupy in floor area! She even has a wind spinner and a gazebo where she grows some of her best plants.
Maria, after three years into her gardening ‘project’, is now teaching her grandkids how to take care of her garden should something happens to her all of a sudden. She wants to see her garden become the paradise she envisions it to be!
If there are two women I’d like to be if I will be given a chance to choose in my next lifetime, I will choose between Emma Watson and Anne Hathaway.
Both women are extremely talented and seem to be levelheaded. And smart, too! Who wouldn’t want to be like them?

Julia is organizing her new bedroom. She moved in with a cousin of hers and they are renting out an apartment together. She was given the bedroom near the stairs and she wants some bedroom vanities to go in it. But the room is a bit small so she has to make do with the space she has and try to fit in everything as best she can.
She was living in with her boyfriend for the past four years but since they broke up she drifted from one apartment to another. This is her third apartment and she is more comfortable living with her cousin than living all alone in a neighborhood she hardly knows.
