Hans is a big guy. He stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs over 400 pounds! He is in the process of trimming himself so he can play basketball and be fit for once. His dad got him scales at home so he can weigh himself as a motivation for his weight loss.
It will be easier for Hans to lose weight because aside from the motivation provided by the scales, he also has basketball, running and handball that he play with his dad and his brothers.
We all have our fears. Something we are scared to happen to us or to our love ones. Something tangible and intangible. There is a way to conquer those fears. We have to look it in the face and tackle it head on!
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face. … You must do the thing you think you cannot do.
- Eleanor Roosevelt
I know it isn’t easy. Some of us are paralyzed by our own fears. But if we let our fears rule our lives, we may never know the potential in each of us.
She will never forget how the exit signs helped her get to safety. She is often reminded by her older sister to check the exit signs whenever she enters a building. So that what she does and it saved her during an emergency.
Exit signs are like beacons of light to safety that we should always look for. Knowing where it is can make a huge difference during an emergency. Believe me, I already encountered a fire emergency and it helped that we knew where the exit was.
Sometimes it just takes a little more effort to find something you are looking for. That’s what Lily realized when she almost stopped searching for a job. A little more effort and time spent online and she found medical job sites! Imagine if she stopped and gave up and just waited for a fresh drive to continue searching…
Lily is a caregiver and she plans to work taking care of the elderly. But to make sure that she is really capable of doing so, she wants to work as a medical assistant in a hospital and be properly trained in taking care of sick people.
I was teasing my friend telling her that she won’t be able to see the progress of my weight loss because she will be leaving the country very soon. She’s one of my closest friends and we’ve seen each other through the worse so she’s one of the few people I would like to share the good things in my life with.
I am planning on taking the best weight loss supplements to help me lose weight. I am preparing myself for a strict diet soon. All these things I would have wanted to share with her but, of course, I am not selfish to wish that she’d be here to share it with me when I know her happiness is contingent to her leaving the country to be with her significant other.
I was just teasing her about not seeing the sexy me in person… soon!
I was asked by a friend to think of songs related to friendship that we can include in an audio-visual presentation that we will give to a friend of ours who’s leaving the country. I found the Top 10 Friendship Songs at about.com. Here are the songs…
You’ve Got a Friend by James Taylor
Thank You for Being a Friend by Andrew Gold
Lean on Me by Bill Withers
I’ll Be There For You by The Rembrandts – I suggested to include this song. Who couldn’t relate to this song when it became equally popular as that hit US TV series FRIENDS!
Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae – This song is included as well. I didn’t even know that this song is a tribute to friendship until I saw it on the list. Love this song!
That’s What Friends Are For by Dionne Warwick and Friends
Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler
With a Little Help From My Friends by the Beatles
Umbrella by Rihanna – I wouldn’t really include this as a friendship song but according to about.com… at the core of this song is a salute to the enduring power of friendship.
Kind & Generous by Natalie Merchant
I would have wanted to include Points of View by Pops Fernandez and Joey Albert but I thought it’ll make us cry so I discarded the idea.
What other songs that are tributes to friendship can you think of? What is the theme song of your group/barkada?
Tilly is pregnant with her first baby. As with first time moms, she is overly protective of her unborn child and is always double checking her condition. She regularly goes to her OB-Gyn and is taking prenatal vitamins with dha to make sure her unborn child will come out healthy.
Every family member and friend visits her regularly and would bring fresh fruits for her to snack on. They also monitor her health because she can become sickly with the slight change of weather. But so far, Tilly’s been on the best of health since she learned she’s pregnant.
Her doctor told her it will be an easy delivery for her if she continues to be this way.
The diner uses pendant lighting for every table they have. The lighting gives off a feeling of privacy for the occupants of each table.
Which is probably one of the reasons people frequent the diner. Not to mention the great food they serve there. It is a place frequented by groups of friends and even those who are out on a date. It can be crowded on a Friday night and your table can still feel private and cozy because of the lighting.
I am thinking of using the same lighting for the patio at home. Should give it the vibe it’s been lacking.
The dish cooked by Pam for her husband was spicy chicken. They both love spicy dishes so that’s what she prepares most of the time. Her husband loves her cooking so much they always end up eating a lot. Even at night when it is best for them to refrain from too much eating.
When they had themselves weighed, they realized how much they’ve grown in the past few months. They’ve been eating so much and now they obviously needs the most effective weight loss pills they can find. Pam will also need to refrain from cooking every favorite dish her husband likes. Otherwise, they will eat a lot again and again and might find themselves bigger than their doorway!
I would like to share with here the video of the Americal Idol audition of Thia Megia, the Filipina who was able to get a Hollywood pass in AI by impressing the socks off Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson.
She really has a good voice! She is only 15 years old and she sand Chasing Pavements by Adele.
I hope she gets in and wins this season’s American Idol!
