She was named Windy May by her parents because she was born on a windy day in May. She is a woman who embodies the word resourcefulness. She was born from poor parents and yet, she did her best to send herself to school. When she graduated, she sent her remaining siblings to college.

She is always there for her family. She hurdled so many obstacles in life. Climbed that steep mountain to surpass all the challenges hurled at her.

If there is one woman that I admire the most, it is her. Windy May.

When I bought this domain, all I have in mind is that, I will make this all about women. Strong women, brave women, women who have shown great character. These are women I know personally. Or have come to know here in the blogosphere.

But I have yet to start on it. I have yet to start putting down into writing what I have in mind.

Well, I will be scheduling a number of posts about women I know. Some I will name, others will remain in the shadows.

This is my Ode to Adrienne, a woman of substance.

I totally neglected this blog already. But here I am to correct that mistake.

Been too busy surfing the net and I found this blog where the blogger (a woman) is really irritating. She already has a daughter, supposedly in her mid-30s now, but she is still unsure of what she truly wants in life! Imagine that! Her daughter is already in her teens, for crying out loud! I read that her family back in her country finds it hard to make both ends meet most of the time. But there she is, working abroad, and instead of thinking of how to alleviate her family’s condition, she is dreaming of owning a fancy camera!

I know every one of us, regardless of age and marital status, has the right to dream and own things. But going over and above what is normal, dreaming of extravagant things, when you know your family, especially your daughter, is hardly eating… well, that is something truly preposterous to me.
