A generous friend of the family gave us their 3-month old LCD TV. They are going away, migrating abroad to start a life there. Since they are selling most of their stuff, we were surprised when they knocked on our door one early morning handing to my dad the big box of TV set they had complete with a flat panel stand.

Of course, we are very thankful for the generous gift. We have a flat screen TV in our living room and it’s been years and years that we’ve been using it. It’s nice to have a bigger screen and a space saver at that.

They are scheduled to fly out of the country this coming second week of June. We are thinking of giving them a token to remember us by.

girlfriends

I know that there are some of us who don’t have sisters or those who are not in good terms with them. So who do we choose to become our sisters? Our girl friends, of course!

They are the ones we choose to become our sisters. I have a very good friend who is an only child. I know that she considers us her girl friends her sisters because she told me so.

Celebrate your friendship!

Happy Sunday everyone!

;)

Hannah keeps telling everyone who would compliment her good skin that she learned all the secrets from her mom. She told her early on to take care of her skin as it would be a great asset when she grew older. She’s right, of course! As always.

She is very careful with the skin products she uses. She has an eb5 face cream that she uses and some other products that she’s tried and tested for years. She doesn’t change the products she uses and sticks to it as much as she can.

She is afraid of damaging her skin as she knows she has a lot going with it.

woman

Everyone knows her as a soft and warm woman, someone who is more of a mother than other mothers out there. Kids flock to her side, not wanting to leave her. They feel safe with her. And loved. No wonder they want to be with her all the time.

But the adults around her also know how she can be one tough woman! She can take care of a Carter fuel pump module assembly all by herself. She can do repairs and fix appliances. She can even move around heavy furniture in her home.

She’s soft, warm and tough all at the same time! She’s that kind of woman.

Since Betty’s a little kid, she’s seen how very supportive her mom is of all her endeavors. She took her to ballet lessons, watched her recitals, bought her a grand piano and took lessons with her so they could play it together. You’d think being so focused on her Betty’s mom didn’t have time for anything else. But Betty’s never seen their house dirty or messy. It’s always spotless and she still had time to do other household chores and bake!

Sometimes Betty would tease her mom if she’s powered by ls14250 or some other kind of battery. She’s always doing something at home yet she has time for her whenever she needs her.

What a super mom!

The girls and I couldn’t keep our eyes off the man in the tailored sportsman breeches. He was such a good-looking man! A fine piece of specimen, that man really commanded our attention. He was there with a couple of other guys, obviously coming from a training or practice as they were all wearing equestrian clothing. But he stood out with the way he carried himself.

Let me just say that my attention is not so easy to capture that way. And neither do my girl friends. We were chatting about the latest Hollywood buzz on our favorite actors when the guys came in. It took one look and we forgot what we were talking about!

The perdomo cigars came with the basket of other goodies from the daughter he hasn’t seen in years. He was so surprised by the package and when he saw who it came from, he couldn’t stop himself from crying. It’s been years and he knows that she hasn’t come home because she can’t still accept the fact that her mom is no longer with them.

She took it really bad when her mom died. She felt that she could have done something to save her. She felt guilty for being with other patients when her sick mom needed her the most. Everyone kept telling her that she’s a doctor and not a miracle worker. Her mom was dying then and she really couldn’t do anything about it anymore.

He is hoping that in time she will be able to forgive herself and move on.

pulse

A lot of people out there often forget that despite all the letdowns in life we encounter, there is always this one thing we should be thankful for… Our pulse. It’s still beating, right? It’s still there signaling that we are still alive!

You might think that it’s better if you are no longer living but the truth is that as long as you have a pulse, there’s always tomorrow for a chance of a better life.

Are you thankful?

I am inviting over my two closest girl friends and a few of our closest friends for a summer outdoor brunch. I had our backyard cleaned and made into an outdoor dining area. It will be a place for me, my family and our closest friends to hang out and just enjoy the sun and the night time breeze.

So what I did was I ordered rustic outdoor furniture for it. I also bought outdoor barbecue equipment to be installed today. And then this coming Saturday, my friends and I will be using it for the first time. Come Sunday, it will be my family and I for some outdoor brunch.

Can’t wait!

sad girl

My sister lost her mobile phone yesterday. It was with her for less than a year and she loved that phone a lot. She took care of it like it’s an integral part of her arm! Sadly, people nowadays won’t return to you even a broken phone. They will take it and keep it for themselves.

She’s really sad right now as school’s out and teachers like her don’t receive their paychecks until school opens again. I guess I will have to go get her a new phone, eh?

Happy Monday everyone! Here’s hoping you have your phones with you and won’t get lost like what happened to my sister.

Mom and the twin girls are going to be sleeping in their Marmot Sleeping Bags at the backyard. It’s pajama party time for the girls in the family! Tina’s husband goes on business trips once every quarter. Since their girls miss her so much, she makes sure to schedule a fun activity for the three of them when dad’s going to be away and the girls love it! Instead of being sad about the business trip that will take their dad away for a few days, they look forward to the fun backyard activity instead.

This time around it’s pajama party. The last time they had a barbecue and late afternoon swim at their inflatable pool. Tina will have to think of a new one for the next trip. She still has a couple of months to think about it.

Wanda and Georgia are very talented girls especially when they have their Laguna Guitars with them. They can play almost every song you can think of with a twist. Of course, they play it acoustic or sometimes acapella. You will surely wonder if the song was actually theirs from the beginning.

Yes, they are that talented! No wonder Wanda and Georgia are being groomed as a girl group by a local music producer. They will most likely be launched before the end of May this year. The girls are excited about it. They are still in college but if their music will be successful, they might take a year off.

Blue_eye

You can tell what a woman feels if you look into her eyes. It’s all there. All you have to do is look closely and you will see.

The problem with some people is that they can’t look directly into a person’s eyes because of guilt… because they are hiding something… and they know that a woman’s intuition is foolproof!

Look into her eyes and you will see what a woman is all about.

No one can be prouder than the mother of the bride. To see her daughter get engaged and then walk down the aisle to the man of her dreams is something that a mother hopes for. A radiant bride getting married to a man who has eyes only for her… I am sure the mother of the bride is crying while looking at her daughter.

The mother of the bride can buy her elegant dress from Gray & Osbourn Wedding Shop, the site where ultra chic and modern dresses, shoes, jackets, tops, trousers, and accessories for mothers of brides and grooms can go to. Moms need not look like she’s mourning the happiest day of her daughter’s life. She can look really proud and elegant with the dress she’s wearing. She can even be as pretty as the bride! It’s all in the dress she wears and the way she carries herself.

The roller shade needs to be drawn all the time. She has eye problems and she’s always blinded by the light coming in from the window. It could be the sun or the light from the lamp post in front of their house. She just experiences so much discomfort with the light directly in her eyes.

The doctors are still checking what’s wrong in her eyes. She is afraid she might end up blind but her doctors told her it might not be the case at all.

A friend of mine, a future book author, is setting up her home-office. Her idea is to have one room bare of everything except a table, a chair, a led light bulb and her laptop. There will be nothing else in there that will potentially distract her.

I can’t imagine myself being in that kind of room but I guess whatever works for each one of us, right? But I get her point in removing anything distracting in her home-office. I am frequently distracted by so many things around me!

All the women in their family are nurses. They have a family photo where the women wore their nursing uniforms while the men were in corporate attire. They are very proud of the achievements of each one of them.

In our family the women are mostly in the teaching profession. Both professions are noble ones and I am really proud to say I have a good friend who is also a nurse while my two sisters as well as a couple of cousins are teachers.

rudeness

There are just too many rude persons out there. I am sure we all have encountered one or two in our lifetime. There are even unlucky ones who are surrounded by rude persons!

But let’s face it. There are times when rudeness is the only recourse you have and no matter how petty it may be for some people, sometimes being rude gives us a small amount of satisfaction.

Admit it!

Do you know where to get life insurance? Do you have one in effect already? If you do, then good for you! If not, better ask for quotes now and have your agent set up a plan for you.

It is always best to have a plan in effect because we really don’t know what tomorrow can bring. There are so many things that could happen and put us in mortal danger. Might as well have a plan in effect wherein once something bad happens to you and you pass away unexpectedly, you have something to leave your love ones behind with.

She didn’t know she could be capable of loving someone that much. She is a rare species of a woman who isn’t hopeless romantic and who doesn’t believe in fairy tales. It may have something to do with growing up in a dysfunctional family. Or the heartaches she’s suffered from through the years.

But when she met him, she knew right away that he’s different. It would be different with him and she went with her instincts. She hasn’t made a mistake by following what her gut told her to do. Love the man!

They just celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary. She gave him titanium cufflinks while he went all out and paid for a luxurious getaway for the two of them.
